If you are looking for the best pho in town and are in the Tucson area, be sure to check out Miss Saigon right across the street from the University of Arizona. Pho, pronounced Fa, is a unique blend of rice noodles, broth, various meats and fresh garnishes. Add to this your choice of spicy sauces or soy based sauces, and you have got a complete meal. It reminds me of Ramen noodles on steroids, and it is extremely tasty.

Although the food is great it is a rather tricky place to get into. Located on the south east corner of Campbell and Speedway, you have to kind of know the area to be able to get to the parking lot. Since the shops are on the street side, you have to find parking in the back. If you miss the small side street, you will have to go around the block the other way to get to the parking lot. Parking is usually not that bad, of course it does get crowded during lunch so you may want to get there early or just get the food to go.

There are tons of different types of pho and for me my absolute favorite is their special beef noodle soup. They don't embarrass customers by having them try to pronounce the actual names; you can just read the description and tell them the number that corresponds to it on the menu. Your food comes out piping hot so be careful before diving in. You can also add any of the fresh sides that they bring you. These include cilantro, peppers, bean sprouts and some others. Add your spices and you are good to go. The nice thing when you order it to go is they separate the noodles from the broth so your noodles don't get soggy when you get home.

The prices are very fair considering the amount of food that you can get. They also have a full menu of bubble drinks. If you are unfamiliar with what this is just ask the server and they can explain it in more detail to you. I won't try to sway you either way, but will tell you that a lot of people I know either love it or hate it. Try it out for yourself and see.

All in all, Miss Saigon is a great place for hot pho on a cold Tucson night. I definitely recommend their food, service and prices. If in doubt try the special, you can't go wrong.
