Miss Sipp's Catfish in Millington, TN

If you are looking for some of the best catfish in the area go to Miss Sipp's Catfish. With its country saloon atmosphere it is a relaxed fun time. They are located on Church Street in a strip shopping center. The outside has benches for people to sit on and immediately you get the feel of the place by the decor that is outside. I have been going here since it opened and like it because of the good service. I have had only one bad experience with the restaurant and it was because the waitress exhibited a bad attitude. When I brought it to the manager's attention he gave me a new waitress and everything was better. The restaurant is always clean and kept nice. The eating area is a big open room with dividers separating the booths. This restaurant is one that I would recommend for a night out with the family. When you go in you will feel a family atmosphere. On busy nights you may have a wait of 15 minutes for a table but it is well worth the wait. There is a Dollar Tree and a Gift shop in the shopping center that you can browse at while you are waiting.

The food is another reason to go to Miss Sipp's. Miss Sipp's was voted best catfish by Millington Star, the local newspaper in town, in 2003 and 2004. You can chose to either have it grilled or fried. I personally recommend the fried, it is not to greasy and has a good texture. Even though they are a catfish saloon they also have mouth watering steaks on the menu. There are good sandwiches and salads on the menu for something a little lighter.. There is a full service bar at the back that offers anything you can want to drink and has a full beer list. If you want take out call ahead and it will be ready for you at the bar.

They are open for Lunch at 11am Tuesday thru Saturday and offer Lunch specials for an easy pick. On Tuesday evening they have all you can eat and on Saturday nights they have rib specials. I recommend the ribs they are just perfect. On Sundays and Mondays they are closed. Most places wouldn't dare close on a Sunday because of the after church crowd but they are trying to respect family time with their employees and you would have to respect that.
