Miss USA Rima Fakih Pole Dancing Past & Charlie Sheen Returns to 'Two and a Half Men'

Well, it took a while for the news to make its way around the globe. But since this story broke yesterday, the earth has made another complete rotation and well, now it's out. Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih, our first Arab-American beauty pageant winner, has a stripper past.

Of course, the pictures surfaced pronto, yesterday. Probably less than 12 hours after Miss Michigan, Rima Fakih, had that shiny, little tiara placed on her pretty head. But, it seemed to take a while before news outlets took notice.

But, the story is now across the pond and the Brits are having their way with it (don't you just love technology?) and more than a few Muslims are unhappy about it.

But, not with the fact that she has a stripper past, but, rather, in the fact that Westerners are surprised that Muslims are okay with their women stripping. Or at least, so say a few in the comment section of this article here.

But, see, here's the deal. I thought Muslims hated Western ideals? I mean, isn't that what we hear over and over and over again? Our depraved culture pollutes the world and Allah ain't too happy about it, kind of stuff? But, now, there are rumblings that it was her parents who encouraged the beauty pageant thing. Anyway.

So, as far as I could tell, they weren't angry that we've corrupted a Muslim woman. They were angry because we were surprised that a Muslim woman would strip or wear a bikini. Look, I don't know about you? But, I just wish we could get a clear reading on this religion. I'm confused.

It's going to be interesting to see where this story goes since its beginning to get some traction. I wish I could say Miss USA with a sordid past was shocking, but, gee, I dunno, Tara Conner, Carrie Prejean anyone?

Charlie Sheen Wants Two and a Half Men to Show Him the Money

In light of all of Charlie Sheen's issues that never seem to go away, I was pretty surprised to hear he was considering leaving the highly successful sit-com, Two and a Half Men. Particularly when you take into consideration that he is probably about to be divorced again (maybe?) and will have to pay more alimony and child support to support yet another ex wife and two little boys.

As it turns out, Charlie wasn't leaving the show after all. It's now being reported that he's just signed a new contract for two more years. He's also getting more money. A lot more money.

It seems that Charlie Sheen is asking for and is getting close to $2 million per episode to return to Two and a Half Men for another two seasons. That's a lot of cash. But, when you have three ex-wives and 4 kids to support in Hollywood, I guess its chump change.

I'm not sure what the going rate of an escort service is these days in La-La Land, but with all of the California's budget woes, I would suspect that even the street walkers are having a tough time of it.

And now that the news it out that Miss USA, Rima Fakih, pole dances, who knows? Maybe Charlie really does need that kind of money.
