On September 19, 2010 Wisconsin crowned their new Miss Wisconsin USA 2011. The winner that was crowned that day was 26 year old Shaletta Porterfield . This was Shalettas first pageant ever and she walked away with the crown. Shaletta was being compared to the next Vanessa Williams in pageantry. She had many fans supporting her and as the Miss USA 2011 pageant grew near fans were sure she had a huge chance at being the next MISS USA 2011.

Unfortunately , about two weeks a go Shaletta Porterfield gave up her title as Miss Wisconsin USA 2011. Porterfield was accused of identity theft by a company she worked for years before she was crowned. The company stated that Porterfield forged documents to meet a sales quota. Porterfield was convicted with three counts of identify theft and could face $30,000 in fines and up to 6 years in prison. This sad news has been buzzing around the pageant world and many are sad to know she wont be competing in the Miss USA pageant in June.

On May 10th 2010, Porterfield was replaced by her first runner up Jordan Mirkin. Mirkin is from Green Bay, Wisconsin 20 years old and is now the current Miss Wisconsin USA. Mirkins photos have now been place on the Miss Wisconsin USA website. As one girls dream die, another girls dreams are now possible.

Jordan may not have had as much time as the other contestants to prepare for Miss USA which is about a month away, but I know she is probably estatcic to even be apart of it.Be sure to tune in to NBC on June 19th to watch the Miss USA 2011 pageant for an amazing night of pageantry.
