Miss World 2009 to Be Crowned on Staurday
The Miss World Live Final 2009 is held in Johannesburg, South Africa. It features 112 beautiful contestants from around the globe.
The Miss World 2009 Beauty With A Purpose finalists were announced Friday. They are the contestants from Barbados, Guatemala and India. The winner of this award will be announced during Saturday's live show. The award is given to the Miss World contestant who has made a difference in her home country, through charitable works. The award was started 25 years ago, the brainchild of Julia Morley. The foundation has raised over $400 million dollars since its beggining.
Miss World 2009 T.V. Schedules:
In the United States, the Miss World 2009 Live tv show will air on the cable channel E!, on Saturday, December 12. The show will begin at 10 a.m. EST/9 a.m. CST. The live broadcast will last two hours.
Mexico will be able to watch the live television show at 9 a.m., on channel Televisa.
London residents will be able to view the pageant at 3 p.m., on The Travel Channel.
In France, Miss World 2009 tv schedule is also set for 3 p.m., on the Premiere channel.
The pageant starts and airs at 5 p.m., in South Africa. It will be shown on the SABC channel.
Russia's broadcast will begin at 6 p.m., on the CTC channel.
India will be able to tune in at 8:30 p.m., on ZEE TV.
Miss World 2009 will air at 11 p.m. Saturday night, in the Philippines.
South Korea and Japan may watch the pageant at midnight.
Australia will be airing the Miss World 2009 Live show at 2 a.m., on Sunday.
