Miss-Communication

leroy coffie
The Signals you give me
are confusing
you say yes
when the answer is no

you told me to turn left
you wanted me to turn right
now we're in the middle
of another one of those fights

Miss-Communication
has been going on for years
I find myself
crying in my beer

You don't want a present
Now I don't care about you
I'm sleeping on the couch
singing the blues

You gave me that apple
and told me to take a bite
now look at the mess
we've gotten ourselves into tonight

Miss-Communication
What can I do?
I can't live with
and I can't live without you

A light-hearted way to get across the point of the importance of good communication within the family unit. Excellent! rcj

I agree with Jack... you have really said a lot in this outstanding poem about how we all "miss-communicate" at times. One of your best ever, Leroy. Thanks!

Well said brother. You have said so much in this. I think I say to my wife this or that but to her it means that or this or "What did you mean by that!?". LOL

I think a lot of people can identify with that. Too many people don't understand the feelings of their partners, or don't want to understand them. That's how things go wrong. Nicely done.
