Missing Baby Gabriel Johnson: No Body Found in Landfill- Landfill Search Officially Over

March 12 2010; San Antonio, Texas. Missing Baby Gabriel Johnson seems to be alive. Almost everyone has believed that he is and now the end of the Tessman Road landfill search declares it so.

Baby Gabriel's mother, Elizabeth Johnson, first told the baby's father, Logan McQueary, via text messages and phone calls, that she had killed their baby, put his body in a diaper bag, and thrown the bag into a dumpster. Although she later retracted this story and told a different one- that she had given him away, there has always been the possibility that she had committed murder of the then eight-month-old baby. Baby Gabriel was last seen, with Johnson, on December 26, 2009, outside the Six Flags Fiesta Texas amusement park via a surveillance camera.

Another story is that Baby Gabriel was sold into underground adoption. This story along with Law Enforcement evidence and leads from incoming tips all seem to point to the famous baby as being alive. This means that the nation as a whole should retain its hope that Baby Gabriel can be found and thus continue to keep a lookout for the ten-month-old who has blue eyes and blondish hair. He was two feet long but has grown during the last three months and he probably has a few teeth. He was teething at the time he went missing.

The Chief of Police of the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) announced today that the homicide portion of their investigation indicates thus far that there is no homicide. "We found no evidence of a homicide," SAPD Chief William McManus told various media at a live news conference. He detailed that homicide investigators searched for sixteen days through 4,260 tons of landfill debris in their search for Baby Gabriel. The missing green diaper bag that Johnson said she used for the body of Baby Gabriel into is likely with the couple in San Antonio to whom she gave Baby Gabriel, alive.

McQueary told Kens5 that Johnson had a $20,000 ring of gold and rubies in her pocket upon her arrest (in Miami Florida on December 30). He said the ring, which he had never seen before, indicates she sold Baby Gabriel. "Sometimes when they give the baby away for adoption they hand over jewelry to the mother," said McQueary. The expensive ring was reportedly given to Johnson's grandfather by the Tempe police. McQueary said the grandfather denies any knowledge of the ring. Law Enforcement have not admitted the existence of the expensive ring. No one has yet produced court documents of its existence.

Regardless of the alleged ring, a good indication that Gabriel is alive is that no body was found during the landfill search. Although foul play has not been ruled out, the 'missing person' investigation for Baby Gabriel continues. SAPD Chief McManus said the 'missing persons' unit will as usual follow up on any leads.
