Missing: Caylee Anthony - 3 Years Old

Are the Protesters Relevant to Finding This Little Girl?

With our Constitution comes the right to free press. I stand by that. With our Constitution also comes a right to a fair trial and innocence until proven guilty. I stand by that as well.

Since a phone call to 911 was placed by missing Caylee Anthony's grandmother Cindy, the media has shown extensive and overwhelming coverage of the ongoings of the Anthony house. They have shown a few picturs of missing 3 year old Caylee Anthony with each broadcast that I've seen. But they've shown them for a few seconds each time before quickly changing to their real story. Their real story is when pizza was delivered to the Anthony house, when a sign was held up that said Baby Killer, when protests started at the Anthony home, when mother Casey Anthony was arrested, how Casey did her own search, when Casey appeared in court, when the computer was seized from the Anthony home, when the yard was searched at the Anthony home for missing Caylee's body, when the car was checked, when Casey was released from jail, when a bounty hunter got involved to bail Casey out and try to get the story, when Casey was visited in jail and by who...each and every time she had a visit, when the Anthony's shed was broken into and what was taken, when bond was denied for Casey, when Casey received phone calls in jail, when Casey had a 6 hour meeting, when Casey called her brother, when the FBI got involved, when Casey was accused of stealing gas, when Zenaida was interviewed...even though she was the wrong one, when Casey rejected visits from family, when George Anthony lost his temper, the list goes on and on. Now tell me, how many of those headlines contained the real story? How many of them mentioned that there is a missing 3 year old girl named Caylee Anthony? How does knowing that Casey turned down a visit with her brother help us find this little girl? How does it get her picture out to millions of Americans that could potentially spot her in a McDonald's or a grocery store or driving down the highway?

Protestors have constantly stood outside the Anthony home shouting at the family and holding up signs accusing Casey Anthony of murder. The family has received threats. They have charges pending for pushing people and have been accused of nearly running people over when pulling into the driveway of their home, protestors dressed as evil monsters are now in front of the home. How does this help find a missing 3 year old little girl?

When questioned, Casey Anthony lied to detectives about many things involving this case. This obviously incriminates her. This obviously gives people an impression. But what impression does it give? That she's a cold blooded murderer? Maybe so. Maybe she is. Maybe she's so numb from all of this that she can't show emotions and think of details right now. Maybe. Maybe not. The point is, until the little girl is found, nothing else matters. It's all irrelevant. So there are basically two options here. One, something happened to Caylee while in her moms care that she's scared to admit. It could've been an accident, it could've been that she gave the child away or sold her, it could've been anything. Or two, it could've been that she's a cold blooded murder who killed her baby so she could be a young lady again and go out and party all the time without the responsibility of raising a child. It could be that she's narcistic and only cares about herself. Nobody else matters. That's certainly what it seems like to a lot of people when she doesn't show remorse or emotion about her 3 year old baby missing. So if that's the case, if she really is that self centered, why keep the center of attention on her? Look how much press attention and protestor attention Casey has gotten by staying silent! If it was that, why not turn the focus back to the little girl, ignore the mom that doesn't want to talk anyway, and try to find this girl alive if there is any glimmer of hope at all that she still could be? Casey would then prove the theory right by talking. She would turn the focus back on her. She said herself in the interview with investigators that she's been very selfish. Why enable that? Take her attention away and then see if she talks.

The one consistent thing that Casey Anthony has said is that she doesn't know where Caylee is. So let's find her! While the media has shown every day at the Anthony house, I've only seen one or two segments about the actual search for missing Caylee Anthony. My parents have followed this news story very closely but yet they were surprised to hear that there were some clothes found in the woods at a local park that Caylee loved to play at. Why didn't that have as much coverage as what Casey ate while she was in jail? Why don't I know right now what the outcome of those findings were? My dad took my son to the park last Saturday. I knew that there was going to be a massive search for Caylee on that day. I had heard rumor of that. But it took my dad calling home several times for me to know where they were searching and how many people were searching. Where was the media coverage?

The media could be such a useful tool for putting the word out and getting Caylee's picture out there. It has proven effective in previous cases. Get the camera off of the stupid house at night and throw up as many pictures as you can find of little Caylee Anthony. Talk about the color of her eyes, the birthmark on her shoulder, where she was last seen by people other than Casey, etc. What would her pediatrician say? Was anything said to the Pediatrician about the babysitter? Did the Pediatrician have any idea of the relationship between mother and daughter?

The last time Casey was released from jail, a news helicopter showed every second of the ordeal from the time Casey walked out the door of the jail all the way up until the car pulled into the garage of the Anthony home and the garage door was closed. What was the point of this? To show more protesters how to get to the house? Really. What purpose did this serve? Did this help find Caylee? If her mom isn't helping us, and the media won't help us, how are we going to find her? We have to find her. She's 3 years old. America can take pride in the systems that have been put in place to protect and recovery our nations children, our future generations. And it all seems moot when I'm watching a black SUV with dark tented windows drive down the 408 taking her mother home from jail. That was a half an hour of my life that I'll never get back. And it served no purpose at all other than to let me know that Casey got home safely. I'm sorry, but Casey isn't my concern, Caylee is. And her trip, her ordeal, isn't being captured by the press. The media has amazing connections, why not use them to find the little girl instead of finding out what Casey said on the phone while she was in jail? That's irrelevant. Her mother being mad at her doesn't bring Caylee back.

Does anybody know how many unsolved missing children cases there currently are for the State of Florida? Does the media know? I know. There are 6 including Caylee Anthony. I'll bet nobody knows who they are or where they're from. I do. Trenton Duckett, age 4, is still missing from Leesburg after 2 years. Jessica Vargas, age 6, is still missing from Sanford after 2 years. Bryan Santos-Gomez, age 1, is still missing from Fort Myers. Jarkeius Adside, age 8, is still missing from Miami after 7 years. And Zachary Bernhardt, age 17, is still missing from Clearwater after 9 years. Where is the coverage on them? I've only heard of 1 of them. That one was a circus because, again, the mother seemed to be involved and committed suicide shortly after his disappearance. I didn't know of that there were 2 other cases still unsolved from that same year. I guess the media overlooked them? That should tell us something.

We need to find the baby. Only when that is done can we charge the mother for the crime. Because until the baby is found, we don't know what crimes were committed. My personal opinion, you keep Casey out of jail, you take the bracelet off of her ankle and you let the investigators watch her. If you really want to know if she's responsible, give her the freedom to search for her baby and see what she does with it. She may very well lead us to the little girl. She also may very well prove her guilt if that's the case. We've tried and convicted a young mother without really knowing what her crime was. We really don't know if she's even guilty. In the meantime her daughter is still missing and her parents are still being devastated more and more each day by the accusations and stalking of "concerned citizens" that are more concerned with torturing the family than finding the girl. Can we just take a step back for a minute and think about what we're doing here? What's the point?
