Missing Diaper Bag Does Not Mean Missing Baby Gabriel is Dead; Missing Bag is Not New News

February 12, 2010. News media announced today that the green diaper bag belonging to nine-month-old Gabriel Johnson is missing. This is not new news. Law Enforcement (LE) have always known the diaper bag is missing. They withheld that fact from their information releases to the news media during the ongoing investigation of missing Baby Gabriel.

The missing diaper bag is not a sudden new clue for the landfill search that began on February 11 2010. However, the missing bag is a reason for the landfill search. San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Chief William McManus has said in recent press conferences that a landfill search has long been planned. The search was called off today due to rain, which often causes toxic runoff. The rain could also damage possible evidence. The search is expected to be resumed on Monday.

But why might the missing diaper bag significant? After Baby Gabriel was kidnapped by his mother, Elizabeth Johnson- in jail for his kidnapping- on December 18 2009 from Tempe Arizona, he was taken to San Antonio Texas, where he was sighted on and off through December 26. On the 27th, his mother boarded a Florida-bound bus without him. Johnson left behind Baby Gabriel's personal effects in the hotel room and she left his car seat in the kidnapping vehicle- her grandfather's Oldsmobile-which was found abandoned at a Motel 6 six days after her arrest on the 30th. But the police did not mention that the green diaper bag was missing.

On December 27, Johnson sent text messages to Baby Gabriel's father, Logan McQueary- and phoned him- with the gruesome news that she had killed their son, stuffed his dead body into a diaper bag, and thrown the diaper bag into the trash. She retracted the story later and told police that she had given away Baby Gabriel to a Texas couple. Since then, strong clues have lead Law Enforcement- and long before LE, people who are piecing together clues via Internet- to believe missing Baby Gabriel was sold into underground adoption.

Or Is the Texas couple another lie by Johnson? Is her murder story true? If not, where is the diaper bag that she says she put baby Gabriel's dead body into? A diaper bag might measure 13hx15wx6d and have a weight capacity of 6lbs. Could Johnson's accommodate baby Gabriel's length of two feet and weight of 20lbs? The bag was not listed by police among baby items left in her hotel room- though a small bag is seen behind baby Gabriel in one of Johnson's photos.

Johnson said the San Antonio couple didn't need baby stuff- the couple brought along a new car seat. Did they also bring a diaper bag? Or did Johnson give them hers? If not, and if the bag is missing, then Johnson's murder story might be true.

The missing green diaper bag may have little significance in view of the strong belief by father Logan McQueary that his son is alive- a belief shared by his family, friends, and supporters- and in view of the fact that Law Enforcement have found no evidence of murder.

Famed Private Investigator Jay J. Armes believes Baby Gabriel is alive and expects to find him. Although the SAPD are conducting a homicide investigation, they are concurrently continuing their missing person investigation. No one should give up hope on missing Baby Gabriel.
