According to FoxNews.com, Marilou Johnson from Michigan has been missing since June 14th and investigators think they have a good idea of where she is. The Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel is quoted as saying "With all the evidence and information we have right now, we're confident that she actually is in the lake." The lake Sheriff Mark Hackel is speaking of according to Fox News is that of Cass Lake in Oakland County which is located in Detriot, Michigan.

As of now the Fox News report says that the main suspect in the missing persons case is David J. Wright and as of Monday, Wright had been charged with kidnapping, larceny, and murder. The charges against David Wright came when authorities found Marilou Johnson's handbag. The bag had been found in at least 70 feet of water. The handbag contained the identification cards of Ms. Johnson. After the bag of missing Marilou Johnson was found officials said "We're certain she's there. It's just making sure that we have the right area that we're going to be searching. We're very hopeful we'll find her today."

The Fox News report says that David Wright knew the victim Marilou Johnson and was aware of a financial situation that her and her boyfriend Roger Blanchard were in. Wright then took advantage of the situation. Officials are saying that Wright had visited Johnson and Blanchard's home in Washington Township to provide an estimate on some plumbing work at the residence. Authorities are telling Fox News that Wright then attacked Ms. Johnson in her driveway, cut her throat, loaded her into his van, and then made his way into the home and stole jewelry belonging to Marilou Johnson. The Sheriff is reporting that there were other people inside the home, however no one heard anything dealing with the attack on Ms. Johnson.

Fox News says that authorities were aware that David Wright had been at the home on the day that Marilou Johnson disappeared, and that authorities placed Wright under surveillance not long after Ms. Johnson was reported missing. Wright then was stopped by sheriff's on Saturday for having an "improper license plate" at which time they found a bottle with five diamonds in it that matched the gems from a necklace that Ms. Johnson was wearing in a picture that authorities had.

It was after this traffic stop that Wright was taken into custody by the Sheriff's department and initially booked for "receiving and concealing stolen property." Fox News says that after being in custody of the Sheriff's department that Wright "led us to an area where we think we're going to be able to recover a body", this according to Sheriff Mark Hackel says Fox News.

Sheriff Mark Hackel would not elaborate to Fox News about how their initial investigation led them to suspect David Wright, however he did tell Fox News that the case against him came together quickly. Sheriff Hackel also told Fox News "There are a lot of things that aren't tied together yet."

Fox News says that a not guilty plea was entered for David Wright by a Macomb County judge on Monday. A preliminary hearing is now set for July 3rd. The judge also assigned a lawyer for Wright at the time of the not guilty plea. Sheriff Mark Hackel is saying that money was the motive in this case.
