Missing Person Profile: Jade Chambers

Let's think about how many people we see on the news, or read about in newspapers that are missing. Now let's think about the missing people, and the ones that we do see on television and in the newspaper. What do they have in common 99% of the time? First of all 99% of the time they are somewhat wealthy white females. We rarely see a missing person of any other nationality, or a missing person that is poor, or a missing person that isn't "pretty" in the eyes of the television and newspaper executives.

I am starting this series to cover some of the lesser reported missing persons, the lesser seen missing persons, and I have high hopes that the people reading these articles will pass them on to their family and friends. Better yet, I hope someone reading this has seen at least one of these missing people, and can help their families come to peace one way or another, good or bad, with the whereabouts of their missing family members.

In this the first of the series I want to cover a girl from my area. I went to school with her older sister, and see this missing persons Mother fairly regularly in my daily routine of running errands or driving through our small town.

Jade Chambers

Date of Birth: June 9^th 1983

Date Missing: February 10^th 2006 from Mountain City, Tennessee

Height and Weight: 4 feet 11 inches tall - 90 pounds

Last Seen Wearing: Blue jeans, gray tennis shoes, and a large almost knee length jacket

Last Seen With: Andy Ray Greer (deceased as of February 8^th 2007)

Marks/Skin Characteristics: white female, tattoo of roses with the words "Wild Child" it is on her left or right lower thigh, missing one "eyetooth" and the other front teeth are decaying

Jade was attending a party in Mountain City, Tennessee and left the party with Andy Ray Greer. Greer was the last person to see Jade. Local officials investigated and always suspected that Andy Ray Greer had something to do with the disappearance of Jade. Although there was never any evidence linking him to the disappearance of Jade.

Jade's mother was working for Mitch Pardue of Boone, NC when she told him her story about her missing 22 year old daughter. Mitch Pardue owns and operates TWO WORLD DIVER'S in Boone, North Carolina and offered his services to conduct a dive at a local swimming hole known as Blue Hole in Mountain City. Thankfully there was nothing found on the dive that Mitch and his crew conducted that could lead to any information of Jade Chamber's whereabouts or what may have happened to her. It had long been rumored that before his death in 2007 Andy Ray Greer had told acquaintances that he had dumped Jade's body into that very swimming hole after leaving the party that they both attended in Mountain City.

It is moving very quickly to the 2 year anniversary of Jade's disappearance and authorities are no closer to finding her. They have been in contact with family and followed leads in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Still no one seems to know what happened to Jade Chambers.

Authorities have said in several past news articles that they are following every lead or tip that comes into their offices. They also have said that there is really no reason for them to treat this as anything other then a "typical" missing persons case.
