For my darling to be near,
Everyday I do so try,
To hold back the tears and dare not cry.
Every hour seems so long,
But months they pass,
And before long
You've been gone a year,
So hard to believe,
I bet you thought that I would leave.
Strong I be for you I can,
But wish so bad I could touch your hand.
The embrace I want,
Your love I need,
I sure hope you're missing me.
Oh no I did not expect the news,
God was waiting for you too.
He took you home before I could say goodbye.
But you're the man I thought could never die.
My heart be broken,
But I always knew,
Forever I'll be missing you.
