Mission Impossible 3 is One of the Best Films of the Year!

The Outlaw

After finally seeing the film Mission Impossible 3, I have to say that is a spectacular film. The action in the film is non stop and this might possible be Tom Cruise's best Mission Impossible film yet. Tom Cruise plays the role of Ethan Hunt who is a spy for the Impossible Mission spy organization.

The opening scene of the film is kind of puzzling but once you see the film you understand what it means. The opening scene is a bit and taste of events that will come in the middle of the film and the challenge that Ethan Hunt will face in the film. This film also focuses on a love relationship between Hunt and his new fiance and soon to be wife in the film.

The action gets going right away and although this film may be a little short in length at only 2 hours and ten minutes, the film is filled with non stop action. In the first scenes of the film the viewer learns that Hunt's new fiance has caused him to step aside from active duty in the field and now he trains spies for his organization. Hunt is contacted when one of the spies, a woman named Ferris who was also trained by Hunt is reported to be missing.

Hunt assembles a team for search and rescue. The members of the team, one of my favorite actors is Ving Rhames who plays the role of Luther, the very same actor who was in Mission Impossible 2. The comraderie between Luther and Hunt on the camera is fantastic as they discuss love lives and the mission at hand.

The real part of the film focses on the villain named Owen Davian played by actor Phillip Seymor Hoffman who does a great job of creating hatred for him as a villain. When Hunt tries to capture him and the mission goes badly wrong, Davian captures Hunt's wife and blackmails Hunt into getting a biological chemical called the Rabbits Foot that is guarded in Shanghai.

Hunt does the impossible in a high flying stunt as he leaps off a rooftop and gets the Rabbits Foot while being chased by Chinese police.

Towards the end of the film, Hunt realizes that one of his bosses within his intelligence agency has been relaying intelligence to Owen Davian who plans on selling the Rabbits Foot to terrorists. With the help of his wife, Hunt is able to kill Davian while his wife kills the rest of the bad guys as the couple saves the world.

I highly recommend this film to all movie viewers and I think it is one of the best films of the year.
