This unusual muffin is Missouri's offering in the state muffin series. It is based on the Rye Muffin recipe located at:

Missouri's Beer Barrel Muffins
1 Recipe Rye Muffins
2 tablespoons firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 cup beer (without foam)
Prepare muffin recipe as directed except substitute brown sugar for granulated and beer for milk. Makes 1 dozen, about 120 calories each.
