Missouri's Route Du Vin of Ste. Genevieve County

Robert Manning
The Route du Vin of Ste. Genevieve County is a driving tour that starts in Ste. Genevieve and then loops through the forested hills and farmland southeast of this historic town. Driving time is about an hour not counting any stop over time at the five wineries. Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, was home to the first colonial settlement on the west side of the Mississippi River by the French in the early 1730's.

Ste. Genevieve MO, is just 1 hour south of St. Louis. It is the home to a large variety of antique and specialty shops. A number of Bed & Breakfasts and hotels provide exceptional lodging for those planning on an extended stay. Ste. Genevieve has the largest concentration of French Colonial buildings in the country. Three of these buildings - the Amoureux, the Bolduc, and the Guibourd-Valle houses - are open to the public.

When traveling the Route Du Vin you will be able to stop and enjoy the wines of the Cave Vineyard, Crown Valley Winery, Chaleville Vineyard Winery and Microbrewery, Chaumette Vineyards and Winery and the Sainte Genevieve Winery. Each of these wineries offers tasting and are open all year round.
