Ste. Genevieve MO, is just 1 hour south of St. Louis. It is the home to a large variety of antique and specialty shops. A number of Bed & Breakfasts and hotels provide exceptional lodging for those planning on an extended stay. Ste. Genevieve has the largest concentration of French Colonial buildings in the country. Three of these buildings - the Amoureux, the Bolduc, and the Guibourd-Valle houses - are open to the public.
When traveling the Route Du Vin you will be able to stop and enjoy the wines of the Cave Vineyard, Crown Valley Winery, Chaleville Vineyard Winery and Microbrewery, Chaumette Vineyards and Winery and the Sainte Genevieve Winery. Each of these wineries offers tasting and are open all year round.
Cave Vineyard
The Cave Vineyard is nestled in the southeastern rolling hills of Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. . The first grapevines were planted in 2001 by Marty and Mary Jo Strussion. The winery now has 14 acres of grapes. The vineyard grows 4 varieties of grapes: Chardonel, Traminette, Chambourcin and Cynthiana/Norton. The first harvest of these vines was in August 2003. The vineyard gets its name from the Saltpeter Cave located at the winery. The tasting room is located on top of this natural cave. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a bottle of wine and picnic lunch in the Cave or you can enjoy the view of the vineyard from the pavilion by the tasting room.

Crown Valley Winery
The Crown Valley Winery overlooks the lush vineyards and panoramic views of the countryside. From the first time you see it, the dramatic beauty of Crown Valley Winery will capture your heart. Joe Scott Sr Joe his wife Loretta opened Crown Valley Winery in 2000. The winery is designed to showcase the Ste. Genevieve region. At the winery you will also find the Crown Valley Bistro. The bistro serves boxed lunches, sausages, cheese and an assortment of gourmet snacks.

Chaleville Vineyard Winery and Microbrewery
Chaleville Vineyard is located in the western part of Ste. Genevieve county. Jack and Joal Russell offer both hand-crafted wines and micro brewed beers in a relaxed atmosphere. The Charleville Vineyards feature a tasting room and patio in a rustic country setting high above the Saline Creek Valley. On the property you will also find a refurbished 1860's log cabin beside the tasting room which serves as a two-room Bed & Breakfast which is open to guests on weekends. You can bring a picnic lunch or sample cheese and sausage from the tasting room. There are nearby trails that you can hike or sit by the bonfire, just outside the tasting room, on a chilly evening.

Chaumette Vineyards and Winery
The Chaumette Vineyard was established in 1990 by Hank and Jackie Johnson, Chaumette Vineyards & Winery is located in Chaumette on 310 acres of land. Chaumette offers a dozen wines from varieties such as Norton, Missouri's state grape, Chardonel, Traminette, Chambourcin and Vignoles. Chaumette Winery also includes amenities such as a spa, private villas for overnight stays, a pool, and a full-service restaurant. The Tasting Room at Chaumette's is open year round and offers tasting and live outdoor entertainment in the warmer months.

Twin Oaks Vineyard
The tasting room at the Twin Oaks Vineyard sits in the middle of the vineyard. You will find it to be a very relaxing spot to spend an afternoon where you can enjoy a glass of wine. Twin Oaks Vineyard is owned by brothers, Andrew and Brian Hutson. Twin Oaks is a family owned vineyard and it is not uncommon to see four generations picking grapes at harvest time. They began producing wine in 2006. During the vineyards hours of operations you can tour the vineyard or picnic under one of the 400 year old oak trees for which the vineyard is named.

Sainte Genevieve Winery is located in the historic district of Ste. Genevieve. The winery occupies a 5,000 square foot, turn of the century home. Sainte Genevieve Winery was open in 1983 by Chris and Hope Hoffmeister and is a family owned and operated. At the winery you will find small lots of over 20 different handcrafted wines, including wines made from grapes grown in our their own vineyards, and an assortment of fruit wines. You can enjoy a relaxing picnic under the r grape arbor. Their are historic buildings within easy walking distance.
