Missy the Meance

Journey of a Legend

"I remember one year in camp, the camp counselors teamed me up with Missy. Missy was the problem child of the camp, and when I was 13 it was my turn to correct Missy. I already knew that I was about to have the worst year in camp a the age of 13, only because anyone that teamed up with Missy got sent home very early. I didn't want to go home early I liked Camp and my parents where in Paris for the summer. I didn't want to end their summer vacation either. This year Missy shocked us all and the camp had the best camp year ever at Military School."

Drill Inspector Charles speaks to the group, while keeping his eyes on Missy;
"Okay this year we are going to team up Nancy with Sharon, Tracy with Stacey, Jackie with Christina, and Missy with Sandy. This year we hope the girls can beat the boys in the Camp All-stars."

"When I heard that I was teamed up with Missy, my heart dropped to my stomach."

Nancy then came up to me and said,

"HA! HA! You are going home early. Hey I know what it feels like me and Missy went home last year; she is such a goof ball."

I think Missy heard them and while they weren't looking somehow she snuck up on them and tied Nancy and Stacey's shoes together. She did this while they were not looking and talking to me. When they tried to walk away and tripped and fell, the two girls tripped and rambled to the ground with a screeching sound like a nail scratching a chalkboard. They then screamed like a baby as they hit the ground. The whole group laughed at them, as they looked in shock side by side by side by side on the ground, even the boys had a few chuckles. After I saw that, shortly after that is when I knew I was going home early this year.

We were in the camp room early morning on the first day in camp, because we had arrived at night this year. So everyone just settled in and got their assignments and went into the rooms, so they can get ready. Early in the morning before the sunrises Missy and I were suppose to get the camp flag ready for the ceremony, and if we failed there would be trouble. Missy was already noted for the troubled that she caused when they arrived at camp with Nancy because Nancy squealed.
"Hi! Missy put down that cup and lets enfold the flag before the chorus starts to sing the camp song." As I remember screaming at Missy so early in the morning. Then Missy whispered back at me, while she leaped out of the chair; "Why!

So I told her, "Come on this is our first assignment, and I always do this every year."

We both walked over to where the flag was laying down, which was next to the flagpole in the camp field. It is about 5:30 in the morning at Military School when we noticed something wrong with the flag. Missy speaks to me in a weird fashion and expressed her concerns about the flag.

"Hurry up Sandy! I want to get this done before Drill Inspector Charles wakes up."

So I replied back to her,
"I know Missy, Oh! My god! The flag has a big hole in the middle of it from when I brushed it up against that piece of metal hanging out of the gate. We are in big trouble and it is so early in the morning. Missy, this is the second time for our group and Military School just started. I don't want to go home early this year."
