Mitsubishi Lancer

Before my friend bought a Mitsubishi Lancer two years back, I didn't know much about this car. Now that I have driven several miles on it and also rode with my friend as a passenger many times, I can explain the pros and cons of Lancer. For all cars in its section Lancer has a compact look. There are not many sedans out there on the road which look as compact as Lancer.

Lancer is one car you can take for long term use. The forte of Lancer is its look and good rear space. Added to these are the driving comfort and handling ease. I haven't driven a car which has a turning radius as good as a Lancer. Taking u-turns cannot get easier than it is in Mitsubishi Lancer. Whether it is for a family or a student, Lancer fits as a good car for any kind of person.

But think twice if you are a power crazy driver. It will take some time for Lancer throttle get to full power. If you are looking for a reliable car with decent gas mileage Lancer should be there on top of your list. Trunk size is just enough for a medium family. My friend often loves this car and he has not even thought of putting the car on sale.

However the maintenance costs of the car have shoot up after car crossed 75K miles. Owner of Lancer should be prepared to do very regular services at post 50K mileage. The cost of the parts is not very high for Lancer. I heard from that even the paint was cheap. One thing I felt that Lancer lacks is the leather seat. Mitsubishi should seriously think about introducing leather seats for Lancer.

At a medium price there are all standard and little more features in Lancer. It has such a sportive look and is good looking in almost all colors. However resale value of Mitsubishi is not very exciting. You may be able to get used Lancer at very economic price levels. Always resale value is for Honda and Toyota cars.

The looks of Lancer also need some improvisation. Especially the wheels can be made sportier. The new generation Lancer looks better with elevated rear and that spoiler fitted at the rear. Mitsubishi Lancer is a wonderful option for a small car even if you are looking for a new car or a used one. Very stylish to the core, yet priced at affordable levels Lancer outsmarts many of other models from Mitsubishi and also many of its competitors also.
