Mitsubishi Montero 2009 Launched in India

Hindustan Motors and Mitsubishi together launched all new Montero 2009 from the premium SUV segment in Mumbai today. The launch was inaugurated by the Mr. R. Santhanam, Managing Director, Hindustan Motors Ltd. Along with Y.V.S Vijay Kumar, Executive Vice-President and SBU Head -Chennai Car Plant, Hindustan Motors Ltd. and other company officials Managing Director, Hindustan Motors Ltd.

The 2009 Montero carries same engine that of an old Montero which sports a 3.2 litre, Turbo Charged intercooled diesel with an output of 162 bhp. The transmission gives a choice of automatic transmission as well as manual transmission. The 2009 Montero is enhanced with a new chrome-plated front grille and a new seven spoke 17-inch light alloy wheels.

According to R. Santhanam, Managing Director (Hindustan Motors Ltd), "Mr. Santhanam said: "Mumbai has been one of our fastest-growing markets over the past few years. Bringing Mitsubishi Motor's to Worli is a logical response to that development. In order to build a sustainable, successful business, you have to be present in a market. It is important that we remain our ambitious expansion plans."

The new Montero comes in six attractive colours like Black Mica, Deep Blue Mica, Sophia White Platinum Beige Metallic, Cool Silver Metallic and Red Metallic.

Coming to its price, it is expensive than the old model and comes with the price tag of Rs 41.94 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai).
