Autumn is a period of transition. It is a fickle season, getting away from summer and approaching winter but resembling neither. Few sunny days, some rainfall, autumn has its charm and specific. So do its drinks.

The season is perfect for cozy snuggling under a warm blanket... and for a warming drink. Red wine is always and option. Yet, sometimes everyone gets the need to try something new. That is when mixed drinks come in handy.

Mixed drinks demand no professional bartender equipment. Having difficulty trusting me? Let me take you through a few easy steps connected to the preparation of gorgeous and delicious autumn cocktails.

Cocktails do vary according to season. And so do their ingredients. Refreshing beverages like mojito feature among the top selections during the summer. In autumn, you should focus on warming ingredients like rum. Sometimes coffee could be added to the mix.

The easiest option is mixing rum and tea. No need for an exact recipe, just trust your senses. You might add some clove to spice up the mixture. This drink usually turns out to be the perfect choice in case you are feeling terribly cold and in need of an instant boost of warmth and energy.

Mixing rum with hot water and honey is another option that is certain to get you back on your feet even in the most depressingly gloomy autumn days. To add scent and specific taste to the mixture you might try adding some lemon juice and clove. A cinnamon touch is also recommended.

I am certain you have all heard of Irish Coffee. Apart from being hot, this mix is delicious, creamy and wonderful to just look at. A typical recipe uses about 30 milliliters of whiskey, 100 milliliters of coffee and whipped cream to top the mixture. It is perfectly OK to add some of your favorite flavors like chocolate or clove. This will turn the traditional recipe into something yours.

Another version is the so called Mexican coffee. It might come to a surprise, but the drink uses tequila instead of whiskey. The preparation process is exactly the same as dealing with Irish coffee, apart from an extra ingredient. Adding cocoa to this mixed drink is what does the magic.

Mixing Baileys, hot chocolate and whipped cream is your drink, if you are a chocolate addict. This is my personal favorite, as the drink is lightly alcoholic, very warming and finger licking. No more promotion on my side, I leave it up to you to try and select your personal favorite.

Cheers!
