Mixed Nuts is a Truly "Hilarious" 1994 Christmas Movie Starring Steve Martin and Adam Sadler!

Phillip W. Chambley
This "unforgettable" 1994 film comedy will stay in the hearts of all Americans for years to come during Christmas-time! Although, this particular film/movie seemingly "got lost" over the years? And was never considered a true hit for viewers? even the critics never really announced this film as a big success. ("It's an excellent A+ worth-viewing film for all ages").

However? Once you view this delightful comical film during the Christmas holidays and any other time of the year? You may wonder what happened to it's success?

It stars famous actors like Steve Martin, Adam Sadler, Rita Wilson, Garry Shandling, and the award winning actress Madeline Kahn, who played in the historical comedy Mel Brooks film called "Blazing Saddles!"

This 1994 Christmas film is a "laugh your self to-death comedy!" Unfortunately, most people have never even heard of this film? Where Steve Martin, Rita Wilson and Madeline Kahn run this "Lifesavers" suicide-prevention hotline company out of a broken down building somewhere in California and the horrible landlord (Gary Shandling) is getting ready to evict them, as of January 2nd!

"Ironically?" The whether is great this time of year in California? Instead of wearing snow-skates during Christmas, these fictional and lovable sea-side small community people are wearing roller skates and also wearing shorts.

But, beware at the same time of the "sea-side strangler?" Whom seems to be killing innocent beautiful females all over this particular area.

While at the same time? "Philip (Steve Martin) and mousy speaking Catherine (Rita Wilson)" are trying to help these hopeless and depressed suicidal persons during Christmas, by answering their phones, lovingly listening to their problems of everyday life, although their company called "Lifesavers" is gradually going under because the government has suspended their funding.

Steve Martin plays an excellent part in this film called "Mixed Nuts!" As the counselor of this so-called government program! Riding his bicycle all around town, because he is too broke to buy an automobile. He is so broke that he has to give the "Lifesavers" counselor Mrs. Munchnick last years "Fruit Cake" wrapped in beautiful red plastic.

Which is eventually thrown into the window of her car, that would never start because the particular whether seemed to change during the night for some strange reason? Liev Schreiber played the part as Chris. A tall and loving male dressed as a female, wearing a shoulder length wig and black dress.

His family criticizes him and calls him "Arnold" during their family get together. So he calls the "Lifesavers" suicide-prevention hotline trying to over-come his depression during the holidays! "Philip" (Steve Martin) reluctantly gives him their unknown address, which Chris comically shows up later at their door-step.

Adam Sadler plays the part as "Louie?" one of their weird and ironic neighbors in the same run-down building. Sadler is expertly playing the ukulele "for real" showing his talent as a musician and comedy as a professional actor, during these members often-times horrific Christmas dinner" that they seem to expect each year.

Steve Martin shows his talent in this film as an excellent dancer. Mixing his bodily talent and comic acting ability. Even though he never played any musical instruments which he is famous for during his career. Steve died his hair the color of blonde, as opposed to his normal hair of grey.
