MLB All Star Game 2010: Best Places to Dine Near Angels Stadium
Angels Stadium Has Plenty of Choices Within One Mile to Dine Before or After Game
There are many things to consider when choosing a place to dine before the All Star Game or during All Star week. Location is essential, but those restaurants will be packed. Travel a little ways down the road to eat and traffic will have to be dealt with after dining. The following restaurants are close enough to walk or catch a short cab ride or walk to Angels Stadium.
OC Sports Grill 450 N State College Blvd Anaheim, CA 92868.
OC Sports Grill (formerly Nationals Sports Grill) is located just across the street from Angels Stadium. A popular move for Angels fans is to have an early dinner at the OC Sports Grill, leave the car and walk over to Angels Stadium. Make sure not to park in 60 minute parking areas, the curbs are clearly marked.
The OC Sports Grill has a dining area for families and bar seating with large screen televisions throughout. If you are looking to unwind with a game of pool before or after the game, OC Sports Grill features 10 pool tables also. The food is typical bar cuisine, sandwiches and appetizers but perfect for grabbing a bite before embarking on the long walk to Angels Stadium and the All Star Game.
Danny K's 1096 Main Street, Orange, CA 92867.
Danny K's is similar to the OC Sports Grill but more of a bar than a restaraunt. Old school best describes this bar and cafe just a mile from Angels Stadium. The owner, Danny Kuykendall is a pool player and the bar features plenty of tables. The food is typical bar food fare but it is perfect if you are planning on a night drinking. Angel Stadium is a short cab ride from Danny K's.
Plan the night out right and take a cab from the hotel to Danny K's and schedule them to pick up and drop off at Angels Stadium. Leave plenty of time for traffic. Danny K's is approximately one mile East of Angels Stadium, just off Katella Avenue.
Mr Stox 1105 E Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92805.
Mr Stox is perfect for those looking to dine in style before attending the Major League Baseball All Star Game. Mr Stox is possibly the most expensive choice near Angels Stadium but well worth it. View the menus for Mr Stox lunch and dinner. The choices range from wild Alaskan King Salmon to Duck. Mr Stox is located about a mile from Angels Stadium and a short cab ride to the entrance down Katella Avenue.
El Torito Mexican Restaurant 1801 E Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92805.
El Torito is located a stones throw away from Angels Stadium and within walking distance. For those that are feeling a craving for Mexican food on All Star Game Tuesday, make sure to arrive early this location will be packed. The menu is typical Mexican fare and better than the average Mexican restaurant. It is a chain, as their website does show several sister restaurants. Best best on All Star day is to arrive about 2 pm and after an early dinner walk across to Angels Stadium.
The Area in the Immediate Vicinity of Angels Stadium Includes Many Dining Choices
The area close to Angels Stadium has choices from the typical fast food restaurants such McDonalds, Panda Express and Carls Jr to the more upscale restaurants towards Disneyland. Whatever choice is made, make sure to leave plenty of time before the All Star Game and the best bet is to take a cab to avoid any parking hassles.

El Torito.....really???
Yep love Mama Cozza's but did they change chefs since last year?
Interesting choices, Todd. Danny K's is one of my husband's favorite places. But if you ask me, head west down Ball Road and definitely go to Mama Cozza's. They're going to be featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives in August. Best pizza around!
I always like going to Los Sanchez in Garden Grove when I go to Angels games. It is located on Garden Grove Blvd.just west of Harbor Blvd. They have great authentic Mexican food. Not your typical chain restaurant. They serve beer there too.
