MLB NLDS Playoffs: Dodgers Vs. Cardinals Game 2

What a game! The bottom of the 9th was the most exciting part of the game. This was a game you didn't want to miss. It was even recorded as the longest game in a division playoff and a true nail-bitter. Every Dodger fan in attendance was on their feet and at the edge of their seats. The fans at home were glued to their television sets and for a moment all eyes were on this game.

There was a lot of buzz going around before the playoffs that the Dodgers wouldn't be able to compete with the mighty Cards. Well, tonight proved to be a whole different story. They proved that they can compete and win. There is no stopping this team. Joe Torre knows his players and what they are capable of. This could be the Dodgers year.

Dodgers down by one, full count and two outs, make a miraculous comeback. Just when things were almost finished and the Dodgers looked to lose. The Cardinals Holiday drops Loney's liner and that started the turn around. Followed by a Casey Blake walk, the Dodgers had runners on first and second. Then, Belliard hit a bouncer down centerfield sending Piere, from second all the way home to tie the game. Then, the Cardinals catcher, Molina, struggles with a passed ball on Martin and the runners advance from first and second to second and third. Martin is then walked. Loretta comes to the plate, with bases loaded, and hits a line drive to centerfield giving him a base hit and sending in Casey Blake to score the winning run.

They capitalized on the Cardinals nerves and their errors. The Cards could not regain their composure and let the win slip from their hands. Try as they might it just wasn't in the cards for them. One error after another and deeper into the hole they dug themselves with no way out. The Dodgers win and off to St. Louis we go.
