These things might make us feel good, but does that justify joining up immediately?
Ultimately, the product or service you offer must be unique, affordable and in demand.
1- Avoid companies that offer products that prospects can purchase from any major retailer around town. For instance, if a company sells a weight loss product that your prospects can buy at GNC for half to one-tenth the cost, you will have difficulty establishing a customer base.
Is your lotion unique enough that prospects will not be able to find something similar at Bath and Body Works or Nordstrom's?
Would a prospect really want to buy gas saving products from you if they can find the same gas additives at Checker or Pep Boys from brands like Penzoil or STP for a lower cost?
Even if you are good enough to sell a product that is overpriced and available everywhere, is that morally right? Can you feel good sleeping at night knowing that you are overcharging people?
Would you really feel good selling a friend a super fruit juice drink that costs them $200 a month when they can purchase concentrated cranberry Juice at Costco or Wal-Mart and get pretty much the same results (Antioxidant value, detox capability, etc) for only $20?
Certain products that really do produce results can normally be found at your local retail stores for a much, much cheaper price than if they were to buy it from a mlm company.
Is your product in demand or did you miss the trend? There are mlm companies that used techniques with the banking industry that no longer apply. If the technique is no longer available, the service will not be in demand.
2- Avoid joining a mlm company that offers products or services that are out-dated or no longer in demand.
Your product or service must be unique, affordable, and in demand. If it is unique and affordable, prospects will have no choice but to come to you for their purchases. If your product or service is in demand, you improve your chances of having a constant and steady stream of interested prospects.
Find the right company and you can truly help others by offering a quality product or service at a fair price and put money in your pocket at the same time. That's win win.
Following these guidelines can save you and your future customers a lot of frustration, and help you be more efficient in reaching your financial and life goals.
