MMA Training in Miami

I will be listing a group of MMA schools in the Miami Florida area. If you are looking to become a MMA fighter in south Florida then this article should help you. Mixed Martial Arts is becoming popular as a spectator sport and as a form of self defense. MMA is also an excellent workout program that has the bonus of giving you confidence in yourself. Mixed Martial Arts is just what it sounds like, a mixture of various Martial Arts with some wrestling and or boxing thrown in.

Freestyle Fighting Academy

The Freestyle Fighting Academy offers world class classes in striking, takedowns, fighting, grappling and more. Right now they are offering 30 days of free classes and a free uniform for potential Miami MMA fighters to try it out. FFA offers a 6,000 sq foot training center and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One of the head instructors, David Avellan defeated Rener Gracie at the Ultimate Submission Showdown. LaVallee's USA Black Belt Champions

LaVallee's has six locations in Florida, check the Web site in the sources for more details. LaVallee's offers a free introductory class to let prospective students try it out. They offer Martial Arts classes for kids aged 4-6 which they call "Lil Champions" and has "Junior Achiever" classes for older children. Of course they also offer adult MMA classes in Florida.

American Top Team

According to their site American Top Team has sent over 50 MMA fighters to the professional ranks! They have several locations in South Florida for MMA training. They offer kids and adults programs plus corporate wellness programs and a training camp.

South Miami Sports Performance

South Miami Sports Performance is located at 6608 SW 81 Street in Miami Florida. Currently you get a free lesson, uniform, video and goal consultation when you first try them out. SMSP offers classes in wrestling, judo, muay thai, jiu jitsu, fitness and MMA. This Miami MMA training center offers a wide variety of classes to give your fighting skills the edge.

Gracie Barra Miami

Gracie Barra may be the premier MMA training center in Miami Florida. Gracie Barra is located at 6800 SW 62^nd Avenue in Miami Florida. They offer top classes in striking, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, among others. Their Miami MMA training center has a large room for group classes and a smaller room for private or semi private lessons.
