Mobile Mechanic, Anyone? A Great Business Idea

Jane Benitez
Do you love to fiddle with car parts? Would you like to play hero and put a smile on the faces of distressed people? Do you know that you can make lots of money if you answered yes to the previous two questions? Whoever drives has at least experienced once or twice the fear of their vehicle breaking down for one reason or the other. On top of that, the place where cars break down isn't always a comfortable place. While some people might call Triple A and wait hours after hours for a tow truck to come, some will call a local mobile mechanic. So here's your chance to play hero!

If you become a mobile mechanic, then these unfortunate people will be calling your number to ask for your help in exchange for good payment. This is a wonderful way to make money if you have that affinity for cars.

It doesn't matter if you have little knowledge of car repair. And you won't need a big office to run this business; your home will do. Most of the time, you will have to do small repairs. So don't worry; you'll only need several tools to help you.

So you are wondering how to find your first customer? More appropriately, how customers can find you? Well, did you ever consider the fact that most housewives virtually live in their cars? They have to take their kids to school, to the playing field, then to music lessons and so on. Therefore, there cars need to be maintained to keep them running smoothly. So why don't you offer your services of providing them with a maintenance check on there vehicles.

You can advertise your uncommon car repair and maintenance service in preschool newsletters, church bulletins or any place where families gather. Getting your business noted down in yellow pages is strongly advised. Also, print your business cards and give it to everyone you know to spread the word.

If you do become a mobile mechanic, then another incentive is the system of payment. Basically, payment is instant. You get a phone call and arrive at the scene, you do your work and then instantly get paid for your services and supplies. There is no need for sending out bills or being unpaid for weeks.

If you haven't thought about this job yet, then give it a try if you enjoy working on automobiles. You will be putting a smile on some faces and make money by doing it. And I say that's a wonderful combo.

I like your idea of enticing people to become mobile mechanics but I wanted to tell you it is not as easy as you think. Today's cars are very complex. Yes there are some things that are still easy to do but you still need a lot of tools and knowledge to tackle repairs if you plan to work on all brands of cars.
People will hire you yes but if you don't do a good job they won't call you back. So there's a lot of preparation to be done before becoming a mobile mechanic. I sugest people being a former regular mechanic. Then becoming mobile will be a lot easier. You will just need to get aquanted with the business details.I still apreciate your inttention Jane.
