Mobsters for Myspace: Tips for Fighting Other Mobs

Brandon Miller
One of the most exciting parts of the Myspace game Mobsters, is battling other mobs. This is a great way to earn cash, level up with experience points, and prove that you are a dominant mob boss.

Growing your Mob

The size of your mob is a matter of life or death in the Mobsters world. You can't have too many members. Increase the size of your mob by sending requests to your Myspace friends.

Tip #1: Work with the Myspace friends to coordinate attacks and dominate the Mobsters fighting world. Request help from your mob by posting on the broadcast board. This can be especially helpful if you are making an attempt to ice an opponent. Your mob can also help fighting against mobs that are a significantly higher level.

Weapons, Armor, Vehicles, and Henchmen

Mobsters has a wide variety of weapons and other tools to use in fighting other Myspace mobs. The trick is to understanding how the items are used in fights. Each member of your mob can take one weapon, armor, vehicle, and henchmen into battle.

Tip #1: Each item has an assigned attack and defense strength. When you attack another mob, the game will automatically use the items with the best attack score. When being attacked by a rival mob, you will use the items with the best defense score. For this reason, you should be sure to keep two sets of each item type for your mob to use - one for offense and one for defense. For example, the guided missile launcher has the highest attack strength of 20. Unfortunately, the defense on this weapon is only 5. However, if you have one guided missile launcher and one sarin gas sprayer for each mob member, you will have an attack of 20 and defense of 18.

Tip #2: Some of the higher quality weapons on Mobsters have an hourly upkeep cost. This money is deducted from your income. If your upkeep is higher than your income, you will have a negative income. If you are unable to pay for the upkeep on equipment, the bank will repo the items that you cannot afford.

Fighting other Mobs

Now that your mob is equipped with the proper gear, it is time to lead your Myspace crew into battle.

Tip #1: The attack list shows an opposing mobs name, number of members, mob size, amount of money they have, and their fight record. Try to select your fights wisely. For the best odds, fight mobs that have fewer members than your mob or a fight record listed as looses some or looses often.

Tip #2: Click on the rivalry list tab to see what other Myspace players who have defeated you the most. Take advantage of this list when you plan to seek your revenge.

Ice your Opponent

In order to ice your opponent in Mobsters, you must deplete their health completely. This is not an easy task. Unfortunately, the other mob will be placed in the hospital once their health reaches a certain level. At this point, they are untouchable with conventional fighting. You must then sneak into the hospital and punch them in the face using a police badge.

Tip #1: Police badges can be obtained by completing the Infiltrate Police Department mission. You will need a fresh mob member in order to complete the mission. As your Myspace mob grows, continue going back to the downtown mission page to complete this mission. Also, try to have multiple badges before attempting to ice your opponent. It may take many hits before killing them.

The Hospital

As you battle other mobs, your health will decrease. Once it has reached a certain level, your character will be placed in the hospital. While there, you are safe from being attached by other mobs with the exception of punches to the face. Over time, your health will regenerate on its own. Unfortunately, this can take a long time. You can use money from your bank account to pay the hospital to restore your health.

Tip #1: Use the time that you are in the hospital to regain your stamina. Once your stamina is back up, pay the hospital to restore your health.

Tip #2: The hospital can only be paid with clean money from the bank. Be sure to make regular deposits to avoid being unable to heal your player.

Learning the art of fighting on Mobsters for Myspace can be an exciting challenge. It takes loyal friends, good equipment, and strategy to be successful. Whether you are a beginner Mobster player or an advanced mob boss, your success in the game will greatly depend on how well your mob handles a good scrap.
