Mock Cocktail Recipes

Carol Slater
Hosting a dinner party where children will be present can present a problem with serving drinks filled with alcohol but these three recipes will provide drinks that all members of the party will enjoy and the children will feel like adults as they will be drinking the same drinks. With these drinks, all the party guests will be able to drink and remain sober to drive away from the party.

STRAWBERRY BANANA DAIQUIRI

Combine a half cup each of fresh cut up strawberries and bananas with 2 tablespoons of frozen concentrate pineapple juice and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Add this mixture with 1 cup of crushed ice in a blender and blend until thick and smooth. This will serve 2 drinks.

HAWAIIAN HOLIDAY

Combine 1 1/2 cups chilled pineapple juice with one 81/4 ounce can of crushed pineapple and 1/4 cup canned cream of coconut and blend . Serve over crushed ice and enjoy. This drink will serve 4.

APRICOT CHILLER

Combine 2 cups of apricot nectar, 2 cups of pineapple juice, and 1/3 cup of lemon juice together and blend well. More this over crushed ice and enjoy a nice chilling drink . This will serve 6.

Most any one will find one or more of these drinks that they will enjoy and you take the worry out of the evening as to whether a child will grab the wrong drink or how someone will get home. These are easy recipes and wonderful drinks. Be sure to try them at your next party.

Children and adults will enjoy drinking these more if they are put into cocktail glasses just like a mixed drink but no one will have to be a designated driver and no one has to worry about being the key person to keep anyone from leaving too drunk to drive.
