Model Citizen (sarcasm) Arrested After Her Three Year Old Toddler Walks into the Street in New York

This is yet another example of why some people should not be parents or even allowed to breed. Lakeisha Owens of Loch Sheldrake, New York was arrested after police were alerted that a three year old child was walking in the street. The child was also carrying a bag containing fifteen grams of marijuana when a motorist almost hit the child.

After the police were alerted to the situation they went to the parent of the year's home. Showing great ambition, Owens was asleep when the police arrived at 5pm and had no idea the child was even missing. Since there really was not a chain of evidence it could not be determined the child got the marijuana from Owens' residence. She has instead been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was released after her arrest and it has not noted if she still had custody of the child. If she does there is something really wrong with the justice system in New York.

Not all the readers may be aware of the prices of marijuana, but growing up in the neighborhood I did gave me some insight to some of these things. The amount of weed (aka reefer, smoke, and dope) is about $100-$200 worth. I highly doubt the child found it in a vacant lot someplace. I have no doubt it was either mom or a boyfriend's stash since no father was mentioned. This did not surprise me at all.

I will admit that I don't know all the facts in this case, but there is no doubt in my mind that this "lady" and I use the term very loosely is probably on various forms of public assistance, has no ambition, probably is not with the father of the kid and will probably have a couple more out of wedlock that will be a burden on society. This story is a prime example of three things. First is that some people should just not have kids. The second is that certain people and types of people are incapable of self governing without someone telling them what to do. The final, and probably most important, is that our tax dollars are often wasted on loss causes that will never better themselves. This is a great example of our tax dollars in action, only in America. Anyone want to best who she voted for, if she is allowed to, in the 2008 Presidential election?
