These modern day filmmakers are charging theater movie goers a fortune for film viewing which they can easily see on television or even over the internet? If I want to see "Cheesy" film special effects, I watch the sci-fi channel or tune into the internet which cost me hardly anything as opposed to the price of a theater ticket.
"Come on people!" I paid good money to see this film in the theator! I want to see something "Live and Tangible" At least something that looks real on the big screen theater and NOT some computer animated monster that looks really chessy. I realize these guys have have had to cut-back on their spending, but why take it out on up and coming movie viewers that have to pay the high price?
I recently viewed "The day the earth stood still" remake in a theater. Starring Keanu Reeves, the film just did NOT have the original influence or meaning simply because the "Cheesy" special effects seemed to take over the film. As a sci-fi freak, I personally loved this film. However, the theater viewing audience said it was nothing but B.S. which I can watch at home on T.V. and people seemed to complain after leaving the theater, which I agreed with completely.
This film called "The incredible Hulk" of 2008 has got to be the worst film I have seen in years because the filmmakers have mixed the real live actors and this gigantic cartoon computer animated version together. Even the "Lost in Space" television original episodes did NOT look this bad at this time and era at a very low cost and budget. Although, the actors of this hit television series played the parts using ridiculous outfits at times. The producers rarely used computer animated effects.
At least the original "Hulk" was a real live person, and not an animated cartoon character? Which modern movie producers should think about what I am saying, if they want to continue making money off the revenue off films, especially NEW films opening up to today's market viewing audience. "They should use photos that look real and NOT fake"
It's not that complicated if you think about it? Please show me something that is real on the big theater screen and not fake? And also not something that seems to be okay on a 19 inch portable T.V. screen. Movie producers get paid "big bucks" for these high priced films. "I paid for this high priced theater ticket! I want to see some "real action and NOT computer animation!"

Post a CommentI agree, and I also feel that the same dilemma is happening in the music industry. Their not only using digital sounds, but the music videos you see these days are absolutely loaded with digital effects. They're fun for a little while, but soon you start to see some annoying similarities in all the videos. Flamboyant hair and wardrobe, bogus situations, crude actions, and the constant use of sex appeal. I admit I like crazy costumes too.....on Halloween. After a while all these pop stars turn into great big eye sores.
