Five modish Christmas Movies

Elf

Who hasn't seen Elf? Released in 2003, starring Will Ferrell this is a great comedy movie for around the holidays. Buddy the Elf is on a search for his true identity after causing issues up at the North Pole. Sure to make you laugh, if its because Buddy the Elf is getting hit with a taxi while crossing a street or decorating for santa. Its so ridiculous that you just have to laugh.

Four Christmases

A 2008 comedy and romance movie is appealing to watch during this holiday season. Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon star in this modern christmas movie, there are also some well known figures throughout the movie. The title represents all of their divorced parents and their visits to them. During their visits that they tried to avoid they discover a better sense to their own relationship with each other.

Christmas with the Kranks

Released in 2004, starring Time Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis to name a few this is yet another holiday comedy for the family to enjoy. The Kranks decide that they will skip out on christmas this year because their daughter is away. Then they find out at the last minute that she is coming home they they are in mayhem trying to put everything together for the holiday.

Ghost of Girlfriends Past

Starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garnder, and Michael Douglas (well known actors), this movie was releases in theaters in 2009 and now is on DVD. This movie takes place during the winter and along with the holiday comes a scrooge. In the place of a scrooge a bachelor (Matthew McConaughey) is haunted by his past girlfriends in the form of a ghost. Each of them teach him a valuable life lesson. This is a great movie to watch with you significant other.

Deck the Halls

An unorthodox movie released in 2006 is surely a family movie. Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick star in this family film about decorating. Two neighbors compete with eachother for the best and brightest christmas decorations. They want to see whose can be seen from space. Outrageous as it sounds , thats what they are doing. This is one of those holiday movies you probably will catch on the tv this year.
