Moist & Delicious Lemon Pound Cake

The following recipe has to be the simplest recipe in my collection! It takes less than an hour to prepare and it doesn't cost very much at all! Even though it's cheap and easy to make, it sure tastes like it took hours to cook with only the finest of ingredients. Yes, it's that good!

To make this Lemon Pound Cake you will need these ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix

To make the glaze topping for the Lemon Pound Cake you will need:

1 lemon or one of those plastic squeezeable lemons filled with juice

½ to 1 cup of powdered sugar

Directions to make this Lemon Pound Cake:

(1) Mix and bake the yellow cake mix according to the directions on the back of the box.

(2) Mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice together.

(3) After the cake has cooled, pour the mixture over the top of the cake.

Simple enough, eh? Sure you can go out and buy a "store bought" Lemon Pound Cake, but wouldn't you rather make your own so you can share the glory and pride when your friends and family compliments the chef for such a moist, tastey cake? Serve it up during summer parties, cookouts, school functions, bake sales, etc. This tastey Lemon Pound Cake goes great alone or with vanilla ice cream right after a big dinner. Add some whipped cream on top of it with fresh fruit and you still have a winner!

Lemon Pound Cake has always one of my favorite desserts to make and eat. I'm sure your family will love this recipe too.
