A brilliant engineer: Paul Moller has invented a flying car. Moller's sky car seats up to four passengers . It will also cruise 400mph; you could hop from city to city within minutes. The sky car will burn 28 miles per gallon. Which is less gas than most cars. Which makes it a low pollution vehicle.
Paul Moller promises, there is no special skills required or pilot license. The sky car will follow a electronic GPS. The GPS will keep a scale distance between other vehicles in the sky. Vehicles wont bump into each other . It will also guide you through bad weather. So you can get in your car, and tell it where to take you. You will get there fast and with very little effort.
The sky car will be so small; it can fit in your garage. It also can fit in a standard parking space. Some companies are already planning, to build rooftop parking spaces. The flying car will have two engines. So if one gives out you want be in trouble. Instead you would have the second engine for back up. But in the rare case of a accident, the car will release a parachute and airbags. This will cushion the impact of a crash.
The sky car is street legal. But only can be driven on small rode jaunts under 30 mph. The vehicle will take off and land sideways. Because of this the sky car will not be able to take off from a street, or driveway. So for take off their will be special locations used: vertiports. The driver will drive to a close vertiport for take off.
Moller predicts his sky car will be on the market by 2012. It will be a bit expensive. One flying car mite cost you three million dollars. But it will become more affordable as demand increases. But I suggest you find a used one online.
