As Mother mine, I honor you
for all you did for me.
For tactfullness, for patience too,
for dauntless loyalty.
Yet tis these things,
that may seem small,
which fondest thoughts impart,
Mother is on a pedestal,
but Mom is in my heart.
I honor Mother, as I should,
serene and wise and calm,
as Mother you were kind and good,
but my real pal was Mom.
for all you did for me.
For tactfullness, for patience too,
for dauntless loyalty.
Yet tis these things,
that may seem small,
which fondest thoughts impart,
Mother is on a pedestal,
but Mom is in my heart.
I honor Mother, as I should,
serene and wise and calm,
as Mother you were kind and good,
but my real pal was Mom.
