Kerrville police officer Kristi Price responded to a call about a swerving driver on Texas 27 towards Kerrville. The officer trailed the silver van and observed Clark changing lanes several times without using a blinker. When she stopped the vehicle, she realized there were 3 children in the backseat. The children were 11, 9, and 4 years of age. Two belonged to Clark and the third belonged to a relative. Clark was driving home to Kerrville after visiting a friend in Center Point. Clark reeked of alcohol and Price noticed she had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

Clark was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with three minor passengers. There was no information available whether Child Protective Services was called in or who took the children after the arrest.
In other news, a 26-year veteran detective of the Kerrville Police Department was also arrested for drinking and driving. Tomas David Rodriguez was pulled over on Water Street at 2:30 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2009.
Rodriguez was arrested and taken to Kerr County Jail at 4:00 a.m. and was placed on administrative leave without pay and Rodriguez ended up resigning Tuesday. He has been charged with a DWI.
No other information on Rodriguez is available due to the investigation being ongoing.
