My mom was always there
Helping me with homework
Or pin-curling up my hair
When we awoke each morning,
Mom's breakfast we would eat
Then after school, mom would be home
Often with a treat
Mom would dress up with us
When trick or treating we would go
And she was always clapping for us
When our dance class put on a show
On snowy frosty winter days
When home from school we'd be
Mom would entertain us all
Myself and siblings three
She would bundle all up with us
Then outside we all would go
Throwing snowballs at each other
And making men of snow
Then afterwards we'd go inside
Hot cocoa Mom would make
And we would always get to help
When cookies Mom would bake
When summer finally came around
She'd take us to the pool
She would swim and race with us
My mom is really cool!
And as our girl scout leader
With the badges we had earned
My mom would always make darn sure
Those lessons we had learned
It really is unfortunate
For most children of today
For most times mothers have to work
And they have no time to play.

This is a very pretty poem. I Love reading your poems. :) :)
I love this poem! Although my mom had to work outside the home, she still made time do special things with us too. It wasn't until I became a mother myself that I realized just how lucky I was. The world definitely needs more moms like this.
That is a beautiful tribute! I love it!
Great poem! I hope someday my son feels this way about me!
