Momma Mia Italian Restaurant in Heath, Ohio
Restaurant Review for Heath, Ohio's, Newest Italian Restaurant

The waitress was personable but obviously distracted. She seemed stressed and in a hurry even though the restaurant was not overly busy.
My friends and I were given menus and our drinks arrived. I had ordered iced tea but unfortunately what I was served should never be referred to as iced tea. Watered down and having some kind of odd after taste, it was not a good way to start.
My friends and I all agreed to order different items so we could get a sample of what Momma Mia's had to offer. I ordered the spaghetti with basil, olive oil and mushrooms. My friend ordered Alfredo cheese tortellini and the other ordered fettuccine Alfredo.
Since we had a toddler at the table, I was relieved when we were offered some bread to hold us over until the food arrived. We all agreed the bread was divine. Instead of the traditional garlic bread, Mamma Mia's serves up home made buttery little garlic rolls that melt in your mouth.
We were all pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. While all three dishes were excellent, I have to give props to the Alfredo cheese tortellini. The sauce was so creamy and full of flavor that I think we all were wishing we had ordered that dish.
We also ordered a side of Italian Sausage that we were told by the waitress is excellent. I have to say this is the only dish I was disappointed in. It is served in very thin slices swimming in a plate of grease. For me it was not nearly spicy enough and too greasy, but I was told you can order it extra spicy as their Italian sausage is made on the premises.
Mamma Mia is located adjacent to a hotel, so to get to the restrooms, you must make a trip down two long hallways. Once my friend with the toddler finally located the restrooms, she reported there was no toilet paper or towels. I also heard another customer complaining that there were no towels in the men''s restroom.
Prices are in the middle range and are a good value for the amount of food you get. I couldn't help but notice that their menu is riddled with spelling errors, which again does not make a good first impression.
If you can get past the lack of service and atmosphere, the food alone is definitely worth a trip to Mamma Mia Italian Restaurant.

This review is spot on when it comes to the service of this establishment, I was very put off by the entire place as well. I ordered Chicken Alfredo, nearly no chicken adorned my plate and the sauce was heavy and bland, adding tons of salt and pepper still did nothing to improve the poor quality taste of the entree. Our waitress worried more about adjusting her top to reveal more cleavage than refilling our drinks or offering us straws or napkins, which she did bring, after meals that is. If asked to dine there again, I would have to decline.
