Momma's Fruity Iced Tea Recipe

JR Smith
It's summer time and people just love their iced tea. Today, I'd like to share with you the iced tea recipe that my mother has used and that I've enjoyed for years. This is a fruit based iced tea recipe which gives it a special uniqueness. To start with let's gather the ingredients.

Ingredients
1 cup of water
3 tea bags
1 cup of orange juice
1/ 4 cup of lime juice
3/ 4 cup of a tropical fruit juice of you choice (I prefer pineapple)
1/ 2 cup of honey
1/ 3 cup of minced mint leaves

Optional Ingredients:
Carbonated Water

Items
Large/medium bowl or pitcher

Servings
5-6 people

Instructions
First, boil the water. After the water is boiled, place the tea bags into your container and pour the water in with it. Let this sit for 10 or 15 minutes. Next mix the tea with the honey and mint. Note that honey is used for sweetener rather than then sugar; this is another unique quality of this iced tea recipe. Now thoroughly mix the fruit juices into the tea and refrigerate until cold. Now you can serve this straight or, as I like to do, combine it with some carbonated water.

Thanks for taking the time to read this iced tea recipe. Enjoy!
