I've got two girls, neither of whom I've ever had to worry too much about. Both of them have pretty good heads on their shoulders... No candy from creepy vans here. Unfortunately, they are also two very persuasive, hard headed women, and their mission last month: Momma's Myspace.
Ok, ok.
Day one: Activate said Myspace account. Oh my lord! You would think the younger of my two daughters was born with a keyboard attached, considering the way she clicks and clicks on those keys. How much of my personal information is she putting on that thing? And since when does she know my secret question?
Forty five minutes and I'm ready to delete the thing. But sure enough, she's created this green screen with my name, photo, and basic stats on it. Hot flash! We'll do more another day!
Day two: (well, three, technically, if you include my day of rest). My daughter showed up with candy bars and Starbucks. Outlook not good. I'm not really sure what she means with "Default" and "Errors" but I don't think it's good.
Day three: My space has gone out of control. I have an entire picture album devoted to my German Shepard, and another with long-lost family pictures the girls found on the internet. That one's private though, of course.
Day four: I logged in all by myself! The girls refuse to come by today, say I need a little "Mom time." Told me to play with the cable television remote. I don't understand that thing. It's got about thirty buttons more than any remote I've ever commanded. But Myspace? Ha. I'm a professional. I can comment, blog, import pictures, even keep an eye on my daughters who, after so much pressure to get me a space, were awfully hesitant to accept my friendship.
I'll show them. I'm gonna be Myspace friends with ALL of their friends; Just you watch!
