1. Diapers! Diapers! Diapers
You can never have enough diapers. I like to get a big box of size 1-2. People normally buy newborn size diapers to give so they will have plenty of that size. The hospital usually sends some home with the baby too, if you ask, they will usually even give you an extra package. They usually outgrow the newborn ones pretty quick though, so the size 1-2 are great. You could even get other sizes. My sister-in-law didn't have to buy diapers for her daughter until she was 6 months old! How great is that?!?
2. Natural Baby Wipes
I always buy the Natural baby wipes. You never know if the baby's bottom will be sensitive! I buy the big package of these also.
3. Baby Q-tips
You can find these in the baby section, usually above the shampoos and body washes, or with the regular q-tips. These little things are so darned handy, because they have a fat head with a very small protruding tip. Perfect for cleaning just the outter part of the ear.
4. Nightime Lotion
I used this with my son and loved it. Not only does it smell fabulous, but it actually works!
5. Blanket
You can never have enough blankets. Them babies like to spit up and tend to need a fresh blankie a couple times a day.
6. Gas Drops
One of the best inventions ever! This is an absolute must have for mommy-to-be's sanity!
7. Portable Formula Holder
This is a little plastic container that allows you to keep about 3 pre-measured servings of formula in the diaper bag. Just twist the top to cover one of the 3 compartments, pop the top, and pour in bottle. So handy! They didn't have this when my kids were little. I used little kitchen containers. These are much neater!
8. Sleepers
My kids lived in sleepers for their first month or so. Newborns tend to be messy, so they would go through a couple a day. I never seemed to have enough of these.
9. Post-partum Massage
Ok, to be honest, I have not purchased a massage for a mommy-to-be, but wouldn't it be great to be able to relax after all the stress and pain of delivering a precious little baby? What mom wouldn't love this?
10. Multi-Use Gift Container
I love this part. I always "wrap" my baby shower gifts in something that will be useful to mommy/baby. For example: a laundry basket in coordinating nursery colors with receiving blankets for tissue paper, a tote, or a closeable storage container. Be creative! Your gift will definately stand out. Especially, if it looks like you're carrying in a big basket of laundry!

Post a CommentBobe, these ideas are not for a woman's birthday, but for her baby shower (as stated in the very first line of this article).
are you serious? Those are the worst ideas I've ever heard of.
I think a pregnant wife would punch you in the face if you gave her diapers for her birthday.
