Brown the hamburger along with the onion. Once browned put the hamburger in your soup kettle, with the tomato soup, tomato juice and water. Salt and pepper to taste.
Now my Mom would serve the macaroni separate. So we would scoop as much macaroni in the dish that we wanted, and she would spoon the chili over the top of the macaroni.
I like to add the macaroni right to the chili. (I then only cook the macaroni to about 3/4 done, rinse and drain and add to the chili, it absorbs the juice and makes the chili thicker.
Enjoy

Post a CommentHi Johnny, just leave the macaroni out. My Mom use to serve them separate. My family likes the macaroni in the chili. Hugs MaryLynn
I love chili but not so much on macaroni. Did you ever try the chili without it? Johnny Yuma aka Damon Brewer
Sounds yummy!
Sounds good but I'm hooked on my husband's award winning chilli.
