Monday Night Raw January 31st Episode: Edge Defeats the Miz

If you watched the Royal Rumble then you know that the Miz caused John Cena to be eliminated from the Royal Rumble, but Cena ended up getting a little revenge on the Miz. The Miz had a match on this past Monday night Raw, and Miz went up against the world heavyweight champion Edge, in a non-title match. This was a great match up, and it was entertaining to watch the Miz and Edge battle it out. I thought that there was going to be no winner declared, and it would end in both WWE superstars being counted out or disqualified, but Edge ended up winning the match, with a little help from John Cena.

It seemed that the match was in the Miz's favor, and it looked as if the Miz was going to win the match, but John Cena appeared from a skybox within the arena. The Miz seemed shook up and surprised, and he was a little distracted. This allowed Edge to hit the Miz with a spear, allowing him to pick up the victory. Edge really pulled off a great match, considering that earlier in the night he suffered a beating at the hands of Alberto Del Rio.

Edge may have gotten through his match with the Miz, but he has to stay focus because the road to Wrestlemania is going to be a difficult one for Edge. Edge is probably going to have more physical confrontations with Alberto Del Rio, and this will go on probably until Wrestlemania 2011 is officially here. I think that once Wrestlemania 2011 gets here, Edge will be the one that will walk out of the ring as the world heavyweight champion, but if the main event ends up being a triple threat match, then I think Edge will end up losing his world heavyweight championship title.
