Kane, smiling, backed off and headed out of the arena. Suddenly the lights flickered and a familiar dinging sound indicated that the anonymous GM had sent an email. Michael Cole announced that the general manager was booking a dream match for tonight, involving Bret Hart, who would be facing The Undertaker! Both stars looked surprised but not reluctant.
Match 1: Daniel Bryan/Kaval vs. Miz/Alex Riley vs. Kofi Kingston/Michael Migulucutty
The match involved 3 superstars in the ring at once following the true nature of a 3 way match. Bryan, Kingston and Riley all started the match, eventually all crawled to their corners, though Riley was caught on opposite side of the ring from his partner. With all three rookies in the match, the three squared off. The Miz tagged himself in with a blind tag off of Riley. Kaval mounted the top ropes and nailed the Warrior's way stomp on Migulucutty, but the Miz snick in nailing Kaval with a front face drop, getting the pin. Daniel Bryan challenged the Miz to come back into the ring. He was then distracted by Riley from behind, and when Bryan went to dispose of him, the Miz snuck in and leveled Bryan with the money in the bank briefcase.
Match 2: Melina/Eve vs. LayCool
Michelle started the match off against Melina. She quickly attacked the Diva's champion, and then tagged in Layla who continued the assault. Melina however shocked Layla by a quick pin after shoving her into her partner on the apron. Michelle got on the microphone and said the victory was like Melina, completely forgettable. Michelle then challenged Melina to a Woman's and Diva's title unification match at Night of Champions. Melina accepted on the condition that this would be a lumberjack match. Once Laycool accepted, Melina had a bunch
of Divas come out and stand by her side indicating she had already picked out the lumberjacks.
Chris Jericho was interviewed by Josh Matthews. He says he had an epiphany and he is so confident that he will win the title at Night of Champions that if he doesn't he will leave the WWE. Josh Matthews pointed out that Jericho has left of been kicked out of the WWE before, at which point Jericho cut him off and said that Josh should watch what he does in his match tonight and he will see why Jericho is as confident as he is.
Match 3: Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre vs. John Morrison/R-Truth
The match barely got started when all four competitors brawled around ringside and refused to cooperate causing the referee to call for the bell and disqualify both teams. This was the shortest match of the night thus far.
Match 4: Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker
As the two mega stars squared off before the bell, Wade Barrett entered the arena and said that this match won't happen. He said that people don't want to think to this historic RAW and think of two legends, but rather remember a future star. He said he would take on both Hart and Undertaker and jumped in the ring. Undertaker quickly disposed of him as the lights went out with Undertaker's signature gong sounding. when the lights came on, Kane was in the ring. He and the Undertaker went after each other as the lights went out again, and seconds later Kane was gone. The rest of Nexus entered and surrounded the ring side area. They then stormed the ring as the Undertaker fought them off. The lights went out again and when they came back on, Wade Barrett had Undertaker on his shoulders and slammed him to the mat. Kane stood at the top of the isle as Nexus surrounded a fallen Undertaker.
Justin Gabriel mounted the top ropes and nailed the Undertaker with his 450 splash. Kane continued to stand in the entrance way, enjoying his brother's beating. Undertaker slowly attempted to rise but fell back down, as Kane chuckled.
Match 5: Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne
As the match started, Alberto Del Rio drove a Bentley into the arena as his music played and a Spanish ring announcer introduced him. Swagger continued to assault Borne while Del Rio made his way down to ring side. Bourne mounted the ropes for the AirBorne splash, but missed allowing Swagger to hook on the ankle lock and getting Bourne to tap. Del Rio immediately introduced himself to the crowd and talked down Rey Mysterio, but said he was not happy because the RAW audience didn't get to see him putting Mysterio in the hospital. So he would recreate the actions from Friday night with Evan Bourne. Del Rio then jumped in the ring and assaulted Bourne who was being helped up by a couple of officials. Del Rio was about to use the chair on Bourne, when Mark Henry made his way to ringside and chased off Del Rio.
CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society came out as CM Punk talked about how he is better than the Rock. He then had 4 examples of the worst acts committed on RAW. The first was HHH breaking into Randy Orton's house in 2009 and getting arrested. The second example was a brawl between Edge and John Cena in 2006 when Cena threw Edge into water. The third DX's invasion of WCW. Finally, Punk showed the clip of Steve Austin hosing down Vince McMahon and company with a beer truck. Shortly after, the glass shattered and Steve Austin's music played. However, Austin was nowhere to be seen as CM Punk laughed rolling on the ground
because he got away with his prank. Punk showed one more clip from a 2003 Smackdown when Brock Lesnar suplexed Big Show from the top rope and broke the ring. The Big Show came out and said if Punk want to embarass him he would have showed how Eddie Guerrerro gave him a tainted burrito, or when Show attempted to Sumo wrestle, or got caught on video kissing Vickie Guerrerro. Big Show then did some impersonations, namely one of Hulk Hogan. Punk informed him that he wasn't funny, just boring and that no one likes the Big Show. Show followed up by attacking the SES who retreated quickly from ringside as Show challenged them
to come back in.
Josh Matthews brought out Shemus who bragged that HHH is not there to celebrate the 900th episode of RAW because of him, and that HHH will never be back. Shemus then claimed it was unfair to expect him to defend his title against 5 people at Night of Champions. Sheamus claimed that never in the history of RAW his the champion been treated so poorly. As Shemus get harping on being discriminated against, Edge came out and said that as many atrocities as he has experienced, he always fired back 3 times as much. Edge claimed he would win the championship and headed to the ring for the main event.
Match 6: Nexus vs. John Cena/Edge/Chris Jericho/Randy Orton/Sheamus (elimination match)
Jericho squared off with Michael Tarver, but as the two were getting ready to lock up, Jericho hopped out of the ring and left the arena, once turning around with a smug look on his face as his team looked on. Edge took his place, only to shove the ref down and get disqualified. Cena entered the match next and the match finally began. Cena tagged Sheamus who assaulted Michael Tarver, who managed to tag in Heath Slater. Slater didn't have too much luck either as Sheamus dominated. David Otunga was tagged in next but did not have much success either. Sheamus was however slowed down by Justin Gabriel who tagged in Heath Slater who reversed some of Sheamus's maneuvers and got Sheamus in the Nexus corner and eventually eliminated the champion. Cena entered the match and after a few dominating moves, put Slater away with the attitude adjustment on Heath Slater. Barrett entered the match next and threw Cena to the outside where Nexus proceeded to put the boots to him. Barrett continued to assault Cena on the outside, throwing him into the ring for an attempted pin fall. Tagging Justin Gabriel into the match, didn't stop Barrett from continuing to be involved with sneaky shots on Cena. After several minutes of domination, David Otunga knocked Orton off the apron, but then got caught in the STF by Cena and submitted. As soon as Cena finished the pinfall he was hit by Justin Gabriel and pinned.
Orton quickly snuck into the ring and nailed Gabriel with an RKO, pinning him. He did the same to Tarver and quickly even things up to 1 on 1. However it wasn't long until Wade Barrett blindsided Orton and got the pin to win the match. RAW closed with a confident Barrett standing in celebration with a knocked out orton on the mat behind him.
