Monday's Miracle: Little Boy Falls Seven Floors, and is Saved

Linda Louise Johnson
Ready for a miracle? This is the story of a toddler, a boy so little he could fit through the rails of an outdoor balcony, on the seventh floor of a building in Paris. Just as the 18 month old squeezed through the railing, two passersby looked up, and spotted the impending tragedy.

It was Doctor Philippe Bensignor and his son. The doctor moved to the side to be in position to catch the child. The little one fell onto a cafe awning and bounced off right into the doctor's arms.

The cafe awning should not have been open, a cafe barman reported, pointing to a small tear in the awning where the toddler bounced off. The cafe was closed, but the mechanical arm that opens and closes the awning was not working.

The awning could have been closed, the doctor and his son could have been walking on the other side of the street, they could have been looking straight ahead instead of glancing up just in time to see a child fall from the top floor of a building.

The Doctor reported that the child was fine but cried for a bit. He and his sister had been left alone in the top floor apartment. His parents were taken into custody.

The presence of the doctor and his son, their look up, the broken awning, and the fall all had to coincide for this miracle to occur. This miracle has been in the news all over the world. But imagine how many split second saves, angelic interventions and miracles happen every day that noone does notice.

That was Monday's Miracle. May God continue to bless and protect these children throughout their lives.

"For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone." -Psalm 91:11-12

Wonderful story. This child has a mission in life. Without the fall, the parental neglect would have gone unnoticed and perhaps the child would have been victim to the life that follows poor parenting and indifference.
