Money is Not More Important Than Family

The importance of family and money. Gambling, drinking alcohol, new cars, and many other things can destroy a home if not put in the right perspective. Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel proved that greed does affect the family.

Many families think money is more important than family. Today's society is always being challenged, by all the expensive habits this world has to offer. Television is filled with many temptations, that can be hard on our financially situation. New cars, fancy boats, and the list could go on and on.

Today a friend may have told you his family is flying to Hawaii. Envy can destroy a home, if money is not thought of in the right perspective. Envy peaks its envious head around, and thinks it needs whatever his neighbors or friends have.

Money is the root of all evil, the Bible says. When material things come first, rather than our families, then money is more important than family. Families can't grow in harmony, when someone is a compulsive buyer. This will put strain on any family. Many divorces have happened, because of money issues.

Gambling, or drinking, can and has proven to take its toll on family money tragedies. When someone lets these types of habits control them, family disasters aren't far away. Drinking is expensive, and if this habit goes any further it can become an addictive habit. This leads to hiding family money that could help pay other bills. If this happens the person that has become addicted, has put money before family.

People who have a gambling illness think of nobody's need but there own. This can lead in taking money that is for their family's food and gambling with it. If this goes on for long periods of time, divorces have been known to happen. This is putting money before family.

The children of Adam and Eve were a great example of what greed can do to a family. Cain and Abel were their sons, and one brother envied the other brother. This tempted the first family of the world, to be known for letting envy destroy someone else.

Actor and actresses are easy targets to fall into traps that involve money. These people that fall under these categories tend to make everything a contest. These may include:

* Better cars being bought.

* Fancier outfit.

* Fancier homes.

* Prettier girlfriend and better looking boyfriends.

* Drinking, and doing drugs to blend in.

All these things and more do put money before family. It started out from the beginning of time, and it will always be a temptation. Every human being on earth will have to make their own choices. God's gave Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel choices, and look what a mess they made. Their path would have been different, had they made better choices

Society has made temptations easier for people to fall into. Think, before choosing money before family. We all have a choice. What's yours?

    I really hate it that money is such a factor in how we live our lives on so many levels......I hate it that we need money to live in the first place. The love of money really is the root of all evil.

    1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
