Money from Nothing?

An Article Discussing the Values of Money and Other Ideas that Are Related

It's a dream many people probably share, to create money from nothing... or at least with very little effort required. But is it actually possible to achieve? I believe so, however I also believe you need to make some kind of effort for it to happen.. whether it be to get up and go buy a ticket in the lottery.. or start your own business etc..

There are many reasons why people want money. Some want it to become rich and have enough money to attain their every desire, where as others just want it to get by in life. My opinion on this is that I think the people who need money to get by in life are the ones who deserve it the most, not the rich people who a rolling in their excessive amounts of money. However if the rich people are giving their money to charity or to a good cause, then I have nothing against them.. But each to their own opinion, I suppose the rich are usually only rich cause they worked damn hard for it, so maybe in that respect, they deserve their money.

However ultimately it's not really money that people want.. it's the things money can buy that people want. Things like houses, cars, holidays, paying off bills/rent/loans. But if you think about it... what would it be like without money? would the world be a better place? I think it is very possible that the world would be better without money.

A long time ago.. in ancient times, all you needed to survive was food, water and shelter. Now in the modern day things haven't changed a lot... we still need food, water and shelter.. but we also need money to attain these things. To me money just seems like a way of complicating our basic means of survival. Perhaps there should be allowed a choice for people, land should be free.. and if you wish to live in a hut.. harvest fruit and drink from the stream you should be allowed to without having to pay tax on land etc. It would be a much more stress-free life for everyone.

I don't believe how successful you are in life depends upon your salary, or whether you have a salary at all. As long as you are happy. I hate to see how people are pressured into going to school, being educated then going into the workforce, it's like the government's way of brainwashing people to contribute towards the countries economy. I think every person should be allowed to make the choices they want. If they want to leave school at the age of 10 to wander around the country collecting rocks.. let them, so what if it may seem like they are "chasing dreams", at least they will be happy and have peace of mind doing what they want to do.. and so what if they are not contributing towards the countries economy at an older age.. if people all over the world did the same thing, then the economy would fall, and we'd all get a taste of freedom. Imagine what it would be like if money had no value at all.

You might begin to think... if money has no value at all.. wouldn't the world fall into a state of anarchy? people stealing things.. violence breaking out. Well you're probably right, that is what would happen. But i think after a while it would settle down.. whats the point in stealing a plasma screen TV to put in your house, when no one longer looks after maintaining the nearest power station? Or what's the point in taking out your anger on the next door neighbour's child when all he is going to do is come over the fence and take out his anger on you.. or your child?.. after a while everyone would come to see that violence is pointless and that it's just better to work together in a community.

But all of these ideas so far.. seem very far from possible.. or quite farfetched. So what options do people have in the modern day world, or what choices can they make to better their lives and give themselves more freedom to do what they really want? I guess really the only answers seems to be to get a job.. preferable one you enjoy. If you can't get a job you will need to live off government payments, be homeless or invent a money-making scheme. But if think the best option is to have a job whilst thinking of a money-making scheme.

I'm afraid that due to the ways people choose to follow, it has now become fairly much impossible to have the freedom you've always dreamed of, without having to work away at a job. But if your job is one you enjoy.. I guess you never really spend a single day working.

Good-luck and best wishes to all those out their who choose to follow their dreams instead of conforming to the governments "mind-washing" system. And also good-luck to those who are striving to invent a money-making scheme.
