Money Saving Beauty Rules

Get Beauty Supplies on the Buck

Just because the economy is bad doesn't mean that you have to de-beautify yourself! Don't use too much makeup, a little will be just enough. In fact make-up sales go up during a bad economy because women love little indulgences that make their self-esteem boost up. But keep in mind that being beauty can be pricy but with a few rules, you can make a gorgeous purchase.

Multi-Tasking is More

We've heard it over and over again, but I'll say it again. Get make-up that you can multi-task with. This is a great penny-pincher for all you fabulous girls. Remember that you don't need much for your cheeks and luscious lips. By using a nice lipstick you can double-up on it as your blush and lip tint. It also saves space in you purse because instead of carrying around blush, blush brush, and lipstick, you increase the space in your purse by only carry one thing.

Stock-Up on the Must-Haves

For some reason many of us like to go out and buy single items at your local CVS, Walgreens, or grocery store. If you love one brand, stick with it! Go to your local wholesale store like Costco or Lowes and stock up on your favorite brand (you get more for your buck). This is a great idea because you can get a big supply of items for less, and it will last you a long time. For instance, pick up your favorite shaving cream, shampoo, school supplies, socks, or cereal. Save up your dough and stock up on your lovely must-haves. The wholesale stores like Costco and Lowes usually carry well known brands so you won't be unhappy with your purchase.

Training Savvy

This is usually not the type of thing you want to hear, but try a new salon and ask for a junior stylist instead of paying for the senior stylist. Both stylist went to cosmetology school and successfully completed so they can't be that bad at cutting hair if they were hired by a well-known salon. If there are mistakes that you notice, tell the stylist and a senior stylist or the manager will usually come over and help you out. There is even a chance that you could end up with a free haircut. If you get a single-process hair color all the time don't be worried, try something new. The stylist are always supervised.

I hope these tips helped!
