Mongrel Night

Never Day

bw Frampton
Streetlights make unholy halos

in the foggy air tonight

From the darkness comes a howling

in sweet mongrel delight

The Sun won't rise

'cause the days are done

Sirens from everywhere

scream as one

while unseen fires

erase whats left of forever

There will be no chaos come morning

only survival by any means

Blood flows over unfertile ground -

new sin scorching land in sheens

As dear Mother Moon

sees to Her dead

the Reaper bows down

his weary head and weeps

fresh tears in an age so dire

Even Death laments this day that should be "Never"
