Monotek Makes the Bluetooth Keyboard Case a Reality for the iPad 2

Monotek is the First Bluetooth Keyboard Case for the iPad 2

The original iPad had its fair share of Bluetooth keyboard cases, but unfortunately the iPad 2 has been slow to follow suit with its own "net-bookish" keyboard cases. Fortunately, Monotek Bluetooth keyboard case has arrived for iPad 2 fans that love to type.

One of the most disappointing things about upgrading from the first to second generation iPad was that most of my first generation accessories wouldn't work with my new "Apple toy". I'm an at home blogger and freelance writer and one of my go-to iPad 1 accessories was the Rocketfish iCapsule keyboard case that automatically turned my tablet into a netbook-like gadget that provided a way better solution for typing than the iPad's inbuilt QWERTY keyboard.

In addition to the iCapsule, the first generation iPad had lots of alternative keyboard cases including the Clamcase and ZAGGMate to name a few, but after I replaced my original iPad for the new one, I had no alternatives to my Rocketfish iCapsule keyboard case until the Monotek hit the scene.

The Monotek keyboard case channels the Clamcase in its simplistic and minimalistic design, but gives the appearance of a leather netbook when closed. In addition to its minimalistic and professional design, the Monotek keyboard case also "one-ups" its competitors by not only working as a bound keyboard case, but also allowing its Bluetooth keyboard to be detached and used with other Bluetooth devices.

Like the other iPad keyboard cases, the Monotek features portable QWERTY keyboard with directional pads, and playback controls. The iPad 2's camera is left uncovered for video chatting compatibility, and typing is easy on the Monotek due to its' metal stand that keeps your iPad docked while you type away on the Monotek keyboard case.

The Monotek iPad 2 accessory costs just a bit less than its previous generation competitors (usually priced around $99) at its entry level price of $79.99 and is planned to debut on Amazon.com after April 15, 2011. If you love to type as much as I do, this is a must have accessory to add to your arsenal of iPad 2 accessories as it's both fashionable and very useful.
