Career Programs: "These two-year programs provide an opportunity for students to earn an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. Upon completion of the program, a student is prepared for immediate entry into a specific technical or paraprofessional career field. Emphasis is upon providing particular occupational skills; however, many students do transfer and successfully complete baccalaureate degree programs. Nonetheless, these curriculums are designed primarily for students seeking full-time employment in their chosen field after two years of college."1
Certificate programs allow the student the opportunity to learn specialized facets of a program. The programs are short (15- 32 credit hours) and focus on specific job skills. These credits can be applied to an associates degree, if the student decides to do so at a later date.
"2+2 Option" is a dual admission program which enables students to complete the first two years of a bachelor's program at MCC and transfer to a pre-selected institution of higher learning.
Transfer programs allow the student to earn an associate's degree and complete the first two years of a baccalaureate program.
A transitional studies program is available for students who need extra help going from high school to college.
