Monster Madness: Grave Danger Review (PS3)

S.R.
Monster Madness: Grave Danger is ahooting video game released on the Playstation 3 and developed by Psionics. This game ends up being a rarity in gaming nowadays, but not in the way you think. Let's take a closer look at Monster Madness: Grave Danger.

Story : There isn't much of a story here, but you big zombie movie fans can fill in the holes with your imagination. Being a zombie hunter of any kind is awesome, so that automatically makes this game have a great story.

Graphics : Ouch, is pretty much all I can say. The graphics remind me of Playstation, which is semi charming in an ''I pity you'' kind of way. No really though, easily the worst graphics I've seen on the Playstation 3. Not counting games which are supposed to have simple graphics. This one is filled to the brim with graphical glitches and errors. I could spend this entire review pointing them out and I still probably wouldn't catch all of them.

Sound : The voice acting is also among the worst I've ever heard. People either sound like they're trying too hard or barely trying at all. The music is ambient and ultimately instantly forgettable. The sound effect? Extremely small variety, and most are just too cutesy and unforgivable. Basically, the sounds in this game stink and I would have no qualms with playing the entire thing on mute.

Game play : The game play, surprisingly, is quite good. The controls are sensitive and responsive when it feels like they should be, and nice and tight when you need them to be. Some of the better controls I've encountered for a shooter. This game is fun, I'll be the first to admit. I get extra special enjoyment slaying hordes of zombies, one after the other. Even I have my limit though, and this game is far too repetitive overall. The difficulty isn't too high, which is good for this kind of turn off your brain and go game. There's a few negligible mini games. And

Re playability : There are many reasons to play this game over and over. The biggest of which is 4 player co-op mode! This is a total blast and if you happen to have a few zombie buff friends this will be one of your favorite games. You can unlock a large variety of costumes, which is a really fun feature for those interested in creating the ultimate zombie hunter.

Overall : 6/10. Honestly, I want to give these kinds of games perfect scores but I can't overlook the faults of this game. Six out of ten.
